About Dhoraji Association

The parent body of the Dhoraji Memon community in Pakistan

The Dhoraji Association was established in 1951 to support the Memon families who had migrated from Dhoraji, India, and were facing serious hardship as they rebuilt their lives in Pakistan.

Since then, the Association has worked continuously for the social and economic welfare of the community and to protect its interests. It is a community-based charitable and relief organisation and the parent body of the Dhoraji community, offering support in education, health, financial assistance and many other areas of daily life.

Registered & accountable

The Association is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and subsequently under the Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies (Registration and Control) Ordinance, 1961. It is governed by its constitution, an elected Managing Committee and office bearers, and publishes an annual report and audited accounts for its members.

Our founders

We remain grateful to the seven founder members whose vision and sacrifice laid the foundation of the Association — and to every volunteer, donor and office bearer who has carried that vision forward for more than seven decades.

Serving People · Changing Lives — the promise we have kept since 1951.
